Brusselse instrumentenbouwers gaan internationaal, maar vakmanschap verdwijnt

In de Notre-Dame van Parijs, die vijf jaar geleden grotendeels uitbrandde, staat binnenkort een nieuw orgel gemaakt in een atelier in Anderlecht. Ook andere Brusselse instrumentenbouwers maken in het buitenland furore met hun eigen gemaakte gitaren, violen en saxofonen. “Maar toch dreigt het vakmanschap onherroepelijk te verdwijnen.”

Jasper Croonen

Jasper Croonen is a storyteller in text, sound and image. He worked first as a video producer, then as a cultural reporter before landing as a content creator at the Brussels opera house La Monnaie, where he worked until 2022. He is now a freelance cultural journalist, ghost- and copywriter, a podcast maker and host and a public speaker at cultural events. Among his clients are (national) media outlets such as De Standaard and BRUZZ, cultural institutions like DE SINGEL, Brussels Philharmonic, the Belgian National Orchestra or Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Jasper also works on a freelance basis for publishing house Borgerhoff & Lamberigts. In 2020 Jasper was one of the ten finalists of 'Azertyfactor', the national writing competition for unpublished authors. His non-fiction book 'De Singel (1980-2020)' was released in 2022.
